Unable to return it, I purchase this model by Dison. First it does cool to a legitimate 2 degrees C. During recent travel, the product continued to work off the battery for six-eight hours. The air temperature was above 93 F and the unit continued to register an internal temperature of 2-6 C. When I first unplugged the unit from AC electricity, it did not work and I was upset, but once the AC plug was removed from the unit, the battery did come on and the functioning of the unit was excellent. My only complaint is the connection of the cord to the unit is not snug and does fall out easily. I did have to monitor this on an eleven-hour flight. I would recommend this product for anyone who needs to keep medication cool.
