The quality of the recordings are 90% as good as my Sony. Maybe 95%. It does take a little longer to switch on and start recording, though. It has a useful backlight which my Sony doesn't have, but is 10x harder to operate (although both are super easy to record on, which is the most important thing). Once you know how to operate it it's okay, but you will have to put a little effort in. It is worth it, though. It is less than a third of the price of the Sony (which although a Japanese company disappointingly says on the back 'made in china'!). Whether the components are of the same quality and will last, only time will tell. Chinese goods, unless made under licence, are not known for their longevity. I do, however, have some chinese gadgets that are years old, so fingers crossed. Some useful features include record led on/off, equaliser, bit rate selection and voice activated recordings. This last is brilliant as you have the ability to set the activation level and it never cuts off any part of the first word (like the Sony, I think it records a couple of seconds and just keeps overwriting it until it picks up a noise or voice). Review: Good little recorder - Good little recorder, tinny soundback but acceptable. ## Features - 8GB of internal memory: Let’s you store up to 30 hours of continuous recording (battery full load). Use as 8GB Flash Drive or USB Voice Recorder to store all your music, data and of course, all your recordings. Very easy to use menu interface. - Fashionable & Durable: Distinctive exterior design and strong, Built-in Lithium battery, rechargeable, environment friendly which makes this voice recorder fashionable, durable and sweat proof, even as a perfect gift for students, writers, professionals and any those who need it! - Wide range of applications: It is a great recording device for recording lectures, meetings, business negotiations, doctor's advice, evidence collecting ,interviews, discreet & covert spy recording etc. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07DN73HX6 | | Battery Average Life | 30 hours | | Best Sellers Rank | 12,904 in Stationery & Office Supplies ( See Top 100 in Stationery & Office Supplies ) 21 in Digital Voice Recorders | | Brand | COVVY | | Brand Name | COVVY | | Compatible Devices | MP3 Player, Personal Computer | | Compatible devices | MP3 Player, Personal Computer | | Country of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 out of 5 stars 2,811 Reviews | | Digital Recording Time | 30 hours | | Format | MP3 Audio , WAV, WMA | | Hardware Interface | USB 1.1, USB 2.0 | | Hardware interface | USB 1.1, USB 2.0 | | Headphone jack | 3.5 millimeters | | Headphones Jack | 3.5 millimeters | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 11D x 35W x 80H millimetres | | Item Weight | 35 Grams | | Manufacturer | BLUEMANGO | | Manufacturer Part Number | BL-033 | | Memory Storage Capacity | 8 GB | | Microphone Form Factor | Mini | | Microphone Operation Mode | Telephone recording | | Microphone form factor | Mini | | Number of Batteries | AA batteries required.
