Reviewers are correct: it is lightweight, and it does shrink when washed, even tho I washed in cold water and dried on cool heat. It came out nice and soft and color stayed very well. But, I wasn't surprised about shrinkage since that's what I expected from previous reviews. It's still OK, but I do have a taupe bed skirt on order to fill in the areas at the bottom that aren't covered. I actually like the weight for summer very well. This spread has the same hem on all 4 sides, so it's kind of hard to tell which is top or side, but not that much different length or width wise so doesn't matter.
