**Q: are the fittings capped so i can install a toilet riser underneath?**
A: The mounting hole of the toilet seat includes a cap. It can be fitted with a raised toilet seat as long as the screws of your raised toilet seat can pass through the mounting holes in our toilet seat. The mounting holes are 3/8 inches wide. **Q: Are the hinges metal or plastic?**
A: The hinges are plastic with plastic easy to use bolts. Not built real stout. Nice butt not the strongest.

**Q: How comfortable is the back if you have to lean against it?**
A: I only leaned on it for a few seconds, but I don't remember it being uncomfortable.  I have the slow-close seat.

**Q: How do you get the rubber nuts into the holes on the toilet? I can’t get them in. The instructions for method one are no help at all.**
A: Insert the rubber nut into the mounting hole with the bolt (the metal bolt will make the rubber nut easier to fit into the mounting hole). very easy to attach, took 5 minutes . Good quality and sturdy. Best attachments of any seat I've had before- especially the silicone pads to keep it from sliding or loosening up the hinges. No sharp edges on any of the outer edges and it is Very White. And the sellers included a nice thank you card for trusting them and taking a chance on their product! I took one star off because it closes too slowly and i have to manually give it a push before the flush - but I am hoping it loosens a little over time.
