Produced in a facility that also processes soy, wheat, egg, peanuts, and tree nuts (pecans, almonds, coconut, cashews, walnut).This product is gluten free." I guess you could contact Hickory Farms directly to ask about pectin (see website for contact info) **Q: Do these mints have a gel filling?** A: No they do not have a gel filling. Mini white chocolate mints covered with nonpareils. **Q: I am worried about these melting in the heat while being shipped. Do they pack in some sort of cooler?** A: I ordered them last summer and received a sticky mess of multi-colored minty goo. It tasted good spread on a greased sheet pan, refrigerated, then broken up like bark, but it was definitely NOT nice individual meltaway mints by any means! I did receive a refund, and after-the-fact the vendor advised against ordering in the summer months. But to answer your question, NO, they were NOT packed in a cooler of any sort. They are a tradition in our family. But unfortunately they can be addictive if you are stressed out. I ate one whole bag while I was preparing our tax returns last minute, and then hubby ate a whole bag as soon as he got off work, he said he needed to even the score! So we only had one bag left for Easter, and the kids were not happy about that! They're creamy, just the right amount of minty, and the little dots are a nice touch. They're rather small, but eating them in pairs or up to four makes em just right. The packaging makes it a great gift with no need for sprucing up. For the amount of mints you get, the price is definitely worth it. The only thing to mention is that these shouldn't be left out for a long time.
