Review: Great product, great price. - I bought this because I misplaced two other large tape measures somewhere. I bought this one because the price was right but it works great. I especially love the self locking feature.
Review: Quality build and the brake holds fine except when pulled out 15'+ and flat on the ground - Recommended. I bought this just over 13 years ago and it still works fine. You don't want this if you need to pull out the tape and have it stay in place while sitting flat on the ground. The tape will slide in slowly about 1/4" 10 seconds if the front is not held up at a slight angle by putting something underneath at the front like a screw. Other than when being flat on the ground the brake still holds well and the operation is solid. It only cost $10 back then but that's inflation. I wanted to buy another of these but i'm going try the dewalt atomic.

A: No, it does not.  I would avoid this tape measure because the locking mechanism sucks and the tape won't stay extended on its own. AVOID.

Was looking for a good tape measured and this fit all my boxes. •Starts out self locking so I can extend to the length I want and it holds. •Nice easy design that I can spot in a crowded room •Very sturdy even at the full length of 25 feet. It’s a great ruler that is decently priced. I keep it in my tool bag at all times while on jobs.
