The pits are not as deep as they look in the picture. I absolutely love this knife, and it is scary sharp. **Q: How do you sharpen it? 12deg is not the typ 10deg asian angle and not the 14-15deg western angle.** A: I use wet stones, this knife is so well sharpened that I’ve only had to use the wet stones twice this year. I’m a home cook and not a professional, so the angle of sharpening for me doesn’t have to be perfect.
