## Questions & Answers

**Q: will this filter work for my porter cable 4 gal wet/dry vac?**
A: No 100% sure but I was trying to purchase a filter for the 1-gallon wet/dry vac.  
I do know, the size is different for a 1 gallon filter vs 4 gallon filter wet/dry vac.
Does Porter Cable offer their own brand or type ?  Would suggest checking for those first.

**Q: Is there a canister filter for the 1 gal stanley vac?**
A: Not that I've found. I get for the 2+ gallon unit and cut it down

**Q: What happens if you use no filter?**
A: It will plug the blower motor

**Q: Hi there, is this the only filter we're supposed to use for wet vacuuming? Do we need to change filters when switching from wet to dry cleaning?**
A: Yes, this is the only one that you use for liquids.  When vacuuming dry materials, you need to either use the blue cloth filter OVER the foam filter, or you can use a brown paper disposable dust bag.  For better filtration, we recommend both the blue cloth AND the disposable dust bag.

This filter rips very easily on install. Says you can wash and reuse, but it’d be very difficult to take off and put back on without ripping it.
