Review: Plug and play - This is a great product that comes with a heat conducting thermal pad and a heat sink. It's plug and play works like a charm. Do note that this uses a PCIe x4 so make sure you either have a spare PCIe x16 which is basically the graphic card size or something 1/4th of the size. Most motherboards will have 2 of those and a bunch of PCIe x1. I ended up having to return this because I have the ASRock B450 Steel Legend (don't get this mobo) and the m.2 actually deactivates the second slot of the PCIe x16 which basically rendered this adapter useless. I was trying to upgrade from regular SSD into NVMe. Though I had mobo issues this product does work well and depending on your mobo it should perform as expected. Read and write tests with the WD-Dashboard ran 3000 mbps read and write despite the actual card rating 7300, but it is a Gen3 Mobo only so it's expected. Also there is a red like that blinks that tells that status of the NVMe, if you dont mind the light its great aside from that this is a pretty good product that works as intended.
Review: Perfectly Functional Adapter, with Good Quality Heatsink and Thermal Pad - This product is exactly what it should be, a straight forward, properly featured adapter. It even comes with an adequate heatsink and thermal pad to ensure good thermal transfers (this isnt really important, but it is nice to see for situations with inadequate cooling like SFF builds or servers). I have used this with a variety of differing NVME drives, of varying sizes, lanes, and PCIE gens with no problems whatsoever.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Ok - i found the correct adapter and ssd card for pcie x1. will they work as a boot device?**
A: To piggy back this answer and anyone wanting to boot from this device on unsupported hardware, if you use open core you can use it as a boot device, you will however need a dedicated disk to boot open core from, you can use a flash drive or whatever. Here's an example I have a 4tb data drive in my 2010 Macpro 200mg of that drive I use for open core , then open core will boot this device. You can also use a USB thumb drive or even CD/DVD. Open core is awesome and doesn't replace your firmware but you'll immediately boot into their firmware after the post screen. Open core respects windows boot loader and Mac blessings, it also supports and respects grub. So for example if I install open core on my Mac(watch I suggest everyone does) changing the startup disk will not change open core from loading but open core will respect those changes. Same thing with windows it's an awesome firmware and allows my 2010 Mac pro with 2 - 6 core 3.46ghz and 128 gb of ram to stay current running the latest version of Monterey or even windows 11.

I hope this helps

**Q: How do I get another screw? I received 4 screws, 2 small and 2 larger. The problem is that 1 of the larger screws is larger then the correct size.**
A: You can get them in a kit. Amazon has them, just search for "nvme screw kit". You can also take the correct screw to a hardware store and if you can find someone who knows how to look them up, a replacement screw is maybe 25 cents in the US. Or you can remove the standoff that holds the screw and bring it with you to a hardware store and try screws that look right until one works.

**Q: what do the LEDs indicate?**
A: LED indicates the working status of M.2 SSD

**Q: how big is the dual card LxWxH?**
A: Hello, the one you are consulting is a single card NVME SSD. The size of the board is about 10.5cm x 5.5cm x 1cm.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it works perfect
*by A***T on November 28, 2023*

Love The M.2 NVME to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter, works perfect. The problem I am having is the old HP computer I have will not boot from this M.2 NVME SSD due to the bios not able to recognize the M.2 NVME SSD. Oh well... The M.2 NVME to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter card is doing its job and the transfer speed I am getting is as advertised for the M.2 NVME card. I downloaded a speed test program and all is good. Windows 10 can see and use the setup no problem once it is booted up. I now have to try and sell the M.2 NVME and adapter card and buy a SATA style SSD. I wish I had a computer that could use this setup but all my computers are too old to boot from a M.2 NVME SSD. I do recommend the M.2 NVME to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter, buy it if you need it.
