It was simple to set the dioptre adjustment, and altering the distance focus is super easy. The magnification is, for me, the ideal, providing great enlargement, but not so much wobble from my rather shake-prone hands as to spoil the image. The binoculars are not light, but not so heavy as to be a problem. The fabric case has a soft lining, and there are lens covers provided for all four lenses. The two larger covers are attached to the binoculars; and I've used a short piece of elastic to attach the double cover for the eyepieces. I do find that once out of the carry case, the lens covers fall off - but inside the case, they perform their function well, keeping the lenses clean, dust-free, and protected against knocks. The only gripe I have is that the binoculars claim that they can be fixed to a camera tripod by using an L-shaped adaptor - but I have been unable to discover how to do this, making the view rather wobbly unless I can find something to lean against ... A couple of friends - one a keen bird-watcher - have tried these binoculars, and were very impressed. One, like me, is usually unable to focus binoculars to give a single image, but to their surprise, they were immediately and easily able to do so with these. The other, wanting to view a distant bird from our garden but not having their own binoculars with them, was very impressed with the size, clarity and quality of the image - even more so on hearing the price!
