Love having the lid and weights to match the crock. I have 20-25 pounds of shredded cabbage in and it is maybe 3/4 full. I was using large heads averaging about 5 pounds or slightly more. We found a plant stand at walmart with rollers to set it on as empty it is nearly 50 pounds. Weights seem to be doing a good job keeping kraut down and so far lid has contained most of the smell.
