Review: Very Pleased With Govee Sensors - I have ordered multiple Govee temperature-humidity sensors. I have three each of models H5075 (Bluetooth only with data display), H5051 (WiFi and Bluetooth with data display), and H5053 (older WiFi version with hub, no data display, but weather resistant). I also have one model H5179 (WiFi and Bluetooth with no data display). First, I would like to say that I was surprised and pleased by the accuracy (or, more precisely, the repeatability) of the data with these units. Before deploying them to their final locations, I lined them up next to each other to see how well they agreed on the temperature and humidity. They did so to within the specified accuracy, so I trust the specifications. (By contrast, when I have looked at racks of thermometers in stores, all in the same place, I have been struck by the wide range of readings, including some wild outliers.) I wanted to use one sensor outside. Models H5051 and H5075 clearly would not stand up to rain; I hoped that perhaps model H5179, which looked pretty well sealed, would. It did not; it died after the first heavy rain and never recovered. Govee does not claim that it can be exposed to rain, so I do not blame them. I report the fact here in order to save others from wasting their money on an unsuccessful experiment. Eventually I found on desertcart the older (obsolete?) model H5053 set. It is advertised as weather-resistant. I asked Govee about it, and they advised not exposing it directly to rain. I mounted it under a porch, near the outside but not directly exposed to rain. It has been running nicely for more than a month. In the end, I also ordered an Ambient weather station, whose temperature-humidity sensor does work with direct exposure to the elements. If you do not need to access the data when far from the sensors, the model H5075 units are to be preferred. They are much cheaper than the H5051 units with WiFi support. The Bluetooth-only units work very nicely in my home and on my phone when I am at home. I do wish that one had the option to display dewpoint temperature instead of or in addition to relative humidity. The firmware in the units probably cannot be updated, but the phone app could be improved to offer this option. I cannot comment on battery life, as I have not had the units long enough. Also, I do not use Alexa. One final comment. As others have reported, getting the units set up and configured is sometimes not as straightforward as one would like. I recommend patience and persistence. Sometimes initial attempts failed, but in the end all the units got connected.
Review: Replace all the Batteries. Then these are very good to excellent. - We bought 5 ($75 each) of these in December, 2018 to monitor our summer house during the winter, and make sure we did not loose heat from our old boiler. After some work, I got all 5 to work. Left town, and headed for warmer weather. At first they all worked, and I was glad to see the data. Over the course of 3 months, they all disconnected one by one. By the time the last one failed, it was March, 2019 and we were past the high risk winter temperatures. When we returned to the summer house, I saw that the displays were still working but no connection. I simply put them all in a drawer. In late October, 2019 it was time to get the house ready for winter again, and I decided to check them out before finding another brand. All the displays were dead. I tested each of the original batteries, and found readings from 0.01v all the way to 1.00v. Like a bunch of random numbers. Good batteries do not run down like that. These were clearly really cheap batteries. I replaced all 15 batteries with new Kirkland AAA batteries that I already owned. Those all started at about 1.59v. All 5 units instantly jumped back to life, automatically reconnected, and started reporting data again. They were all as good as new, and and fully wifi connected. No need to re-program. Moral of the story is to throw away the included batteries as step one. Put in 3 high quality batteries. I suspect the batteries are the source of many many problems people are reporting. Not sure how much time to expect, but 5 or 6 months is all that I really need to have. I will buy one or two more, depending on whether or not wifi can reach the garage. That allows me the ability to see temps in every cold corner of this large house with radiant water heat in wooden floors. With more than a mile of copper / water pipes in wooden floors, I can not allow the house to ever ever freeze. These work great, with great reports. They just need a good power source.

**Q: do i get this straight.I set it up with my wifi at home (n.y.)   .I leave and go far away(FL.) and i can see the temperature of my home on my phone?**
A: I have only rarely been able to get data over WiFi. I want to use this to monitor the temperature at my vacation home, and the bluetooth works fine while I am there. Also, I have had the device set up on WiFi briefly in the past (on my 2G network). But it has not updated data in three weeks, in spite of the fact that I put brand new batteries in a month ago.

**Q: Can i plug this in to ac power, as i need a 6 month power duration as battery for 3 months will not be enough. do you have an ac adapter available?**
A: There are devices which replace the batteries and then connect to a power adapter.  You can also use a AA battery box and the pseudo batteries.  After 2 winters of eating batteries in 100 - 125 days, I will be converting all 8 of mine to the AA battery box setup.  Will require a little work.  Jim is right.

**Q: Can multiple iPhones connect to the one sensor**
A: No. If you change the phone to connect, please delete the device on the former phone.

**Q: Can this use a hotspot in an rv to monitor temp?**
A: Sorry for the late reply. Yes, you can use your hotspot in an RV to monitor temperature. And please be kindly noted that Govee Home is a smart functional APP with low-battery alarm, easy setting and data sharing(LOG IN SAME ACCOUNT). When the battery is ready to run out, the APP will alarm to remind you replace the battery. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little device!

The setup was SO simple with very easy-to-understand instructions! Just remember, it only works on your 2.4 GHz wifi, so you must put your phone on that before you set it up. I tested it by putting it out in the garage and it quickly displayed the correct temperature on its face and the app. I plan to use it to remotely monitor the temperature in our mountain cabin.
