## Description

We are an innovator in the acoustics industry. Our products are effective, durable, easy to install, and made in the USA.
From the home to the office, from commercial settings such as restaurants and boutiques to institutional settings such as church sanctuaries and health centers, sound impacts your daily life — and creating the best environment, not just acoustically, for your needs means everything to us. For over 20 years, Audimute has set the standard in providing free sound advice, acoustic design consultation, and cutting edge acoustic treatments.
Mitch Zlotnik, Founder and President of Audimute, needed soundproofing to keep the peace in his household while he played his drums. The solution he found became the basis of Audimute. With several years behind him of product development and innovation based on customer feedback (and personal use of the products), Mitch brought his products and vision to the Web.
The core of our sound absorption products is eco-C-tex, a proprietary blend of 100% recycled cotton and cellulose fibers. All products are of superior quality & Made in USA.

- 2' x 25' and weighs approximately 59 lbs.
- New or retrofit construction.
- Most orders ship same or next business day.
Perfect for homes, offices, studios, restaurants, and any other space to help block sound from entering or exiting.
Testing of Peacemaker Soundproofing Underlayment - 6 mm over a 6" concrete slab with Click-Lock LVT flooring resulted in a STC Rating of 50 and an IIC Rating of 57.
Peacemaker can be used outdoors. The same principles of soundproofing apply: increase mass and significantly reduce/eliminate air flow. In addition to mass and air flow, it is ideal to create a constrained-layer in which Audimute Peacemaker is sandwiched between two layers of harder, more dense materials. The sound energy dissipates in the middle layer because of its elasticity and the change in density.
Peacemaker Soundproofing Underlayment can be used under a wide variety of finished floorings to dampen footfall, impact noise, and vibration.
Processed Rubber Granules. Polymer Binding Agent.
Water resistant. Resistant to numerous diluted acids & alkaline solutions. Chemically neutral.
Peacemaker is also available in a 3 mm thickness. The 3 mm thickness is not intended to perform in the same manner as our 6 mm Peacemaker. Our 6 mm Peacemaker is less dense, allowing it to absorb vibrations more effectively. Our 3 mm Peacemaker is denser than our 6 mm, meaning it will not absorb vibration in the same manner as our 6 mm, but will block airborne sound much more effectively.
Most new rubber products will emit various organic compounds which have a characteristic smell like that of a newly painted room. When properly installed in your wall, floor, or ceiling, these odors will be undetected. If left exposed, in an area with little ventilation, Peacemaker will emit a harmless low-level odor which will lessen over time and poses no health risks. Individuals with increased sensitivity to smell may find this odor unpleasant.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: When put on floors to reduce airborn sound transmission (voice, etc) what is the STC rating?**
A: Peacemaker 6.4mm is not very effective for airborne sound as the STC rating is only a 4. It is however effective at reducing footfall vibrations, with an IIC of 56. Our Peacemaker 3.2mm product has an STC rating of 19 and is more effective for airborne sound transmission. Overall, the product(s) you will want to use depend on the desired outcome.

**Q: Could this be installed on a fence between two layers of fence boards panels to reduce road noise? Or do you have a product you recommend for this?**
A: Yes, it can be. Please consider using our
Audimute Peacemaker Sound Barrier - 3.2mm Soundproofing Sound Barrier product.

**Q: Could i line walls with this under a tapestry to quiet noise transfer from my condo to the one next door?**
A: Peacemaker 6.4mm is typically used on floors to help with vibration that travels to a lower level, and it is installed underneath the final floor. Peacemaker 3.2mm would be a better product for your application, though it's best when installed under a layer of drywall to more effectively help to control the noise transfer. Simply adding Peacemaker 3.2mm under tapestry might help take the edge off and provide you with minimum relief. The best product for your application that we offer is our Audimute isolé Sound Absorber - Sound Barrier and Absorption Sheet - Sound Blocker.

**Q: Is it possible to lay carpet on top of this?**
A: I don’t see why not, but it is very heavy material to work with and very hard to cut.
