## Questions & Answers

**Q: Could someone that actually used Tru Oil first then used Stock sheen conditioner reply if this brings down to a satin finish and how application was?**
A: This comes directly from the Birchwood Casey web page; "Satin Finish(:) This step is for those who prefer a traditional, hand-rubbed satin finish. 1 Polish with Birchwood Casey Stock Sheen & Conditioner after waiting at least 7 days after applying your last coat of Tru-Oil Gun Stock Finish. Stock Sheen & Conditioner effectively removes any surface imperfections and leaves your stock with a satin finish. 2 Repeat applications as desired for a softer matte finish."

**Q: Does this apply over the factory finish? Trying to spruce up an old 870 wingmaster without stripping and refinishing.**
A: Yes,its pretty much like putting furniture polish on a piece of furniture, shines up really good, you can then top it off with a coat of birchwood casey stock wax for a super nice fingerprint resistant finish.

**Q: Can I apply this to a new stock without using stock sealer or tru-oil?**
A: You can, but the stock sheen and conditioner is a wax with a little abrasive in it. It does not leave a "coat" of finish. In other words, it is meant to be used over Tru-Oil or a stock sealer to make the stock finish look nicer.

**Q: Will this work well for knife handle?**
A: Absolutely will.
