The small bottle lasted longer than expected. I've found that adding a bit of warm water before lathering, or REALLY soaking your hair works best. I have very thick, but short hair. I still only need about a tablespoon to get my hair clean. If I've been exercising or doing yard work, and got especially sweaty, I will wash a second time. I use Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Smooth conditioner with this. I haven't found anything better. I typically wash my hair every other day. If I don't use too much conditioner on my scalp, my hair is still clean and shiny well into the second day. I also like that this product has almost no scent, which is great if you don't care for strong perfumes.
