I am extremely happy that they are still printing this same version since it contains recipes that are not easily found in other places like the Chiffon Cake. This cake is similar to an angel food cake but easier to make and much tastier because it comes in a variety of flavors including banana, chocolate, cherry, and more. The recipes are easy to follow and are so tasty that you will quickly find favorites such a Martha's Casserole, Hamburger Stroganoff, Butterscotch Brownies, French Meat Roll, and more. I found the recipes virtually NO FAIL including the one for pie crust! This book has become my favorite too for wedding gifts! It was one of her two go-to references for all sorts of things. Eventually I inherited her spiral-bound, time worn copy and although still legible, needed to be handled with special care.This new edition came as a revelation. Every page has been reproduced faithfully in paperback form with one minor difference. In my copy of the book, certain pages were in colour; in this reprint, all images have been reproduced in black and white. The book is not devoid of colour however as the blue text highlights remain.As to the recipes themselves, they are clearly written and the methods easy to follow. For most, I use the recipes verbatim but in a few cases I will use them as a starting point and substitute certain ingredients (e.g. butter for shortening in the Quick Breads recipe.) All in all though, it is hard to go wrong if you follow the steps as written.These are hearty, time tested recipes that have stood the test of time and although I'm not usually one for baking from recipe books, the Purity Cookbook is one that I find myself coming back to time and again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ OldBaker *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 9, 2009* Hello,When I first started seriously baking back in 1968, I was given the Purity Cook Book. I had ALL the pages BUT they were not in order.Over these past few years, I started searching for a newer version of the cookbook.
