Review: Good alternative to old fashioned baby gates! - UPDATE: These do not hold up to a large human knocking them over ... one broke in several places. I was going to replace it, but alas, this was no longer available. I'd knock it down a few stars for the price point based on durability. After having the traditional "baby gates" which were both too tall for some of us to easily step over as well as damaging to the walls, it was time to find a new solution. After reading the reviews I purchased two of these for our entryways to keep our french bulldog on the backside of the house. She is already trained and not a climber, so she has not bothered to move these or knock them over (though we humans have once or twice). A feistier dog could move these or jump over them, in theory. These come assembled and are tri-fold, making them easy to fold up and carry to a new spot when needed. They are painted wood and are quite sturdy. They are nice looking, too. My only concern was they did not come with rubber or felt feet to protect the wood floors. I added some myself, which help keep them in place as well. I'd purchase them again.

Bought to keep my 20 lb dog from going upstairs. Works great!! Heavy enough for him not to move but light enough for me to move. And it's cute too...looks much better than most gates!
