It seems pretty finely ground, so I'm not sure it would be ground- free if perked. Great coffee, though! **Q: What is the difference between Classic and Gold?** A: Prodomo (gold?) is 100% Arabica bean coffee (premium). Classic is a blend of Robusta bean coffee and Arabica bean coffee (non-premium). I have never tried Classic, only Prodomo decaffeinated. **Q: Are the grounds too fine for french press?** A: Dallmayr is much better in french press or stovetop espresso maker ( the one you put on a burner ) than a keurig.
