**Q: Is this  standard light socket size. ?**
A: Hi yes, this S14 led bulb is standard E26 edison medium screw cap. The cover is plastic, it is shatterproof design. Power is only 0.5watt,  the brightness is equal to 5-7 watt incandescent bulbs. These colored led bulbs are very popular in yard decor, holiday lighting, Christmas lighting decor, etc.

A: Hi, this bulb is not dimmable.

**Q: How hot do these bulbs get? I want to put them in my small foyer, but worry about added heat.**
A: Generally old incandescent bulb can get up to 120 degrees Celsius. But this bulb is led type, the surface temperature of the glass cover won't be over 60 degrees Celsius.

**Q: looking for led 25 watt equivialant standard size base for porch lightswill string lights work ? Ok for winter in Mich. ?**
A: Depends on how many lights or if there is a trip hazard such as steps. If only one or two lights they may not illuminate a step sufficiently. We don't know about cold yet, should be ok.
