The red push lock/unlock button is easily identifiable and only take a simple press to engage and disengage. The flame adjusting knob sits on top and is a simple turn mechanism. The boost feature definitely works well. A simple press of the trigger is all it takes. I did have trouble with the push button ignition, noting that it took several tries before the propane fuel ignited. Once lit, the flame is very strong on this gun. Whatever you are using it for, it will do the job. I deducted one star because of the ignition issue. Overall, this is a very well constructed adjustable flame thrower gun at its current price point. Definitely keep it out of reach of children.
