A space for mood magnets encourages self-expression and communication. Kids can also create custom magnets using the two included dry-erase tiles. Designed for ages 3 and up, this calendar supports planning, organization, and responsibility while promoting hands-on, screen-free play. It’s ideal for home or classroom use and pairs well with other Melissa & Doug learning tools for extended educational activities. Combine with the Melissa and Doug Magnetic Responsibility Chart to round out the hands on learning experience For 35+ years, Melissa and Doug has crafted imaginative preschool toys and durable wooden toys built to nurture childhood wonder, with everything from a life-sized grocery store playset to a play kitchen playset and play food to serve plush toys & puppets, to costumes, arts & crafts, and road trip activities for kids. It’s the kind of kid-powered play that builds independence and confidence! Brand Story By Melissa & Doug From the Manufacturer What is today? For a child, that simple question can have so many answers--and this daily calendar helps satisfy them all. Kids will feel a greater sense of control and responsibility when they help post the day of the week, date, weather, and special events on the large magnetic board for all to see. There's even a space to post their mood--an excellent way to open communication and encourage children to gauge their own emotions. Updating the information is simple: Simply take a preprinted magnet from the lower magnetic board (which hangs below the calendar to keep magnets within easy reach). Then place it on the calendar to fill in the information... or make a custom magnet by writing on one of two dry-erase magnet tiles. There are fields for day, date, season, weather, temperature, activities, holiday, and mood. Review: Kid friendly and super cute - I’m homeschooling my 5 year old twins and this calendar is amazing!!! Sturdy and easy to hang- the bottom holds extra pieces that seamlessly folds behind the top piece with the days information. With the multiple faces both boys’ feelings get to be expressed. 100% recommend this to any parent that wants an easy and creative way to teach date, weather, seasons, activities, holidays, dates, days of the week, and emotions! Easy to use and portable as well, very good materials and strong magnets that are stronger once the plastic protective sheet is removed IF you want to and also have the patience for it. Review: Toy and homeschool tool, fun, grrat quality - My 3 year old son got this from Santa to have as a toy now but to incorporate into a homeschool tool as he grows. We do "calender check" most days and it has introduced weather, winter, days of the week, holidays, and months to him. He is already learning from it. There are emotions, holidays, temperature, season, weather, month, date, year, days of the week, activities, on here with a couple of blank ones to make your own. We made one into a go to church activity square. I like that on holidays there is a Merry Christmas and an Easter, that suits our family. All magnets can be removed from the lower board and it can be a white dry erase board. It is sturdy and hangs well on the wall. The bottom can fold up under the top. He enjoys is as a toy or game right now. It will be very useful for school. It is great quality and well made with many colors. I recommend and love Melissa and Doug. ## Features - Plan the Day: Kids update the calendar with date, weather, and activities using magnets, creating a daily routine that supports communication and awareness of time and events - 80 Magnetic Pieces: Includes years, months, days, holidays, emotions, and more, plus two fabric-hinged dry-erase boards—one for the calendar and one for storing magnets when not in use - Build Life Skills: Encourages responsibility, planning, and self-expression while promoting hands-on, screen-free play that helps kids understand time concepts and share upcoming events with family - Educational Toys for Any Occasion: When buying a birthday gift & holiday gifts for kids, or rewarding little milestones, celebrate the moments that matter with Melissa and Doug toys for boys & girls - Wholesome Play for 35+ Years: Melissa & Doug inspires kid-powered play with its learning toys for kids, baby & toddler toys, puzzles, games, building toys & stuffed animals, dolls, & even a doll house ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | 1223081273 | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Best Sellers Rank | #3,625 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #233 in Learning & Education Toys | | Brand Name | Melissa & Doug | | Color | Multi-color | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 19,633 Reviews | | Educational Objective | Cognitive Skills, Fine motor Skills, Manual Dexterity, expressing emotions | | Included Components | Wooden flip-down calendar, 83 magnets | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Dimensions | 6.38 x 12.19 x 16.44 inches | | Item Highlight | 84 Pieces, Fabric-Hinged Calendar Board, 83 Wooden Magnets, Routine Planning Tool, Preschool Learning Toys for Kids, Ages 3+ | | Item Type Name | Developmental Toys | | Item Weight | 3.1 pounds | | Manufacturer | Melissa & Doug | | Manufacturer Part Number | 9253 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No Warranty | | Manufacturer recommended age | 36 months - 6 years | | Material Type | Wood | | Model Number | 9253 | | Number of Players | 1 | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Power Source | Manual | | Set Name | Melissa & Doug My First Daily Magnetic Calendar Set | | Size | 15.7 x 11.8 x 0.9 | | Sub Brand | Doug | | Supported Battery Types | No batteries required | | Theme | Toy | | UPC | 681147004252 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Size:** 15.7 x 11.8 x 0.9 - **Color:** Multi-color - **Material:** Wood - **Brand:** Melissa & Doug - **Shape:** Round - **Item Weight:** 3.1 Pounds - **Manufacturer:** Melissa & Doug - **Unit Count:** 1.0 Count - **UPC:** 000772092531 - **Number of Pieces:** 1 ## Images ![Melissa & Doug My Magnetic Daily Calendar - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81H-EnEHw4L.jpg) ![Melissa & Doug My Magnetic Daily Calendar - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81iBiqONccL.jpg) ![Melissa & Doug My Magnetic Daily Calendar - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81npA-YSJ4L.jpg) ![Melissa & Doug My Magnetic Daily Calendar - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71j1EoTIwAL.jpg) ![Melissa & Doug My Magnetic Daily Calendar - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ucewMa8EL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What years are offer with this?** A: Purchased at the end of 2022 and it came with 2023-2029, so they seem to update it yearly to have upcoming years! **Q: What age is this recommended for?** A: Hi happysab, this is recommended for age 3-6 yrs. my preschooler loves to change the calendar every day. It's educational and great fun! **Q: What years are offer with this if I purchase at the beginning of 2021** A: I’m not so sure mine came until 2024maybe your can come the same years or until 2025 **Q: Do the magnetic pieces have small, separate magnets on them, or is it like some M&D items where its magnetic paint and therefor flat on the back?** A: its like most m.d items with the magnet and the painted picture on the top. no extra attached magnet so not a choking hazard. now this one actually has bigger magnets. the other calendar that M.D makes has small little magnets for numbers. these are a bit bigger so definitely more appropriate for preschoolers. hope that helps some. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kid friendly and super cute *by J***T on August 10, 2026* I’m homeschooling my 5 year old twins and this calendar is amazing!!! We are a homeschool family, and this calendar is a big help on teaching days of the week, seasons, moods, temperature, weather, holidays, etc. It's a great way for kids to get hands-on learning. The board is a bit heavy, so hanging it on the wall was a job for my husband. I actually cut the straps connecting the main board & the marker board with the magnets so I could keep the 2nd part in the cabinet. Not a fault in the design; I just have a young one that would LOVE to pull the magnets off. Overall, I love this calendar. It looks exactly as pictured. It's not too big but also not tiny. It has lasted us a few years already. I would recommend this product. ## Frequently Bought Together - Melissa & Doug My First Daily Magnetic Calendar - Activities Calendar For Kids, Weather And Seasons Calendar For Preschoolers and Kids Ages 3+ - Melissa & Doug Magnetic Responsibility Chart - Melissa & Doug Wooden My Daily Day and Night Routines Chart for Boys and Girls 3+ - FSC Certified --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/8049465-melissa-and-doug-my-magnetic-daily-calendar](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/8049465-melissa-and-doug-my-magnetic-daily-calendar) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
