I did follow the manufacturer's suggestion to chill the cookie sheets (on the cold back porch since my fridge isn't wide enough for my cookie sheets). Pros: Easy to use. I roll the dough into a cylinder and insert it into the barrel. The plastic handle extension is sturdy, feels comfortable in the hand, and provides more leverage. There are two size choices for each click of the handle and the cookies were well formed. It was also easy to make extended sections of dough for the wreaths. Reviews say this press accommodates the heavier dough for cheese straws, but I haven't tried that yet.
