This innovative foam gives lightweight cushioning while still feeling agile and responsive. Working with the shoe's BOOMERANG FOOTBED, the F-FLY MAX offers maximum shock absorption and energy return for hardcore workouts where every ounce of energy counts. The MET-CRADLE technology is built into the laces for a snug, secure, adjustable fit, while the ankle pull tab allows easy donning and doffing. Round toe shape with ample toebox. The grip on various surfaces is solid, and they feel stable during lateral movements which is important for my training style. The fit through the midfoot and toe box is perfect - snug without being restrictive. However, I have to dock a star because the heel counter rubs more than I’d like. I’ve noticed some irritation after longer wear sessions, and I’ve had to adjust my sock choice to minimize it. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s noticeable enough that it keeps these from being a perfect 5-star shoe. If you’re considering these, maybe try them on in-store if possible to see how the heel fits your specific foot shape. Or plan on a break-in period with shorter sessions at first. Despite the heel issue, these are still solid training shoes and I’d recommend them - just be aware of that one potential fit issue.

I’ve been using these INOV8 F-Fly Max shoes for about a month now and overall I’m really impressed with them. They’re lightweight, responsive, and handle both gym workouts and outdoor runs well.
