The boxers used lace up, Everlast gloves and they were an amazing fitted glove. These gloves you can barely make a fist without handwraps, with wraps it’s impossible and the one piece of molded foam is pretty much a pillow fight. Even Lomachenko commented how the new style of these gloves are impossible to score clean knockouts and make a fist. And do not give me “the safety aspect” talk. Play golf if you want to be safe. Boxing used to be beyond incredible in the 70s, 80s, 90s, the old Gleason’s Gym was historic with all top amateur’s and pros. Now it is a white collar hangout spot.
