Review: Extremely happy customer - A few years ago I wanted to get into juicing so I started researching and tried a few things. I ended up with a Nutribullet which I've been using ever since for making smoothies. I've tried a few different blenders as well. The blenders didn't chop everything up as well as the Nutribullet. Especially frozen fruit. The Nutribullet worked better than the blenders. Don't get me wrong, the Nutribullet works extremely well, but this Ninja chops everything up better than the Nutribullet. I've tried just using the low, medium, and high settings - but the Auto-IQ feature is what does it the best. That works flawlessly. No more frozen chuncks of strawberry to surprise me as I drink. I love the size selections of the cups. I love that the cups have the measurement marks on it. I love the blades and the design of the blade and ease of cleaning. Yes these are features that are better than the Nutribullet. The only way the Nutribullet comes out on top compared to this is price, size, and slightly less noise. This Ninja is a little louder, but if you're running any kind of blender you're making noise, so to me it's negligible. Besides, I put my ingredients in for my smoothie, attach the cup, push the Auto-IQ button I want to use and walk away, then come back when it's done. This Ninja is more expensive but better. It's bigger, but more features and uses. I can't find a Ninja at any of the local stores with the Auto-IQ feature - well with the exception of Kohls, I didn't look there and it looks like that's where this came from. I didn't pay as close attention to where it was coming from as I really didn't care as much about that. I'd researched and decided this was the one I wanted. It was shipped through desertcart - wasn't prime - but it was cheaper than getting it from Ninja's website - and I've developed a trust in desertcart. I would recommend if you're getting a Ninja to get one with the Auto-IQ feature. Well worth it. Something about the stopping and pulses that chops everything up better. The base is sturdy and has suction cups so it stays put. I was a little concerned if it would fit on my counter under my cabinets. It does fit. With the big blender pitcher attached it stands 17 3/4" high, about 7" wide and 10" deep. My cabinets are 19" from the counter which gives me just enough clearance to set the pitcher over the base and then slide it down on and lock it in place. I'm ok with that clearance, but if this is an issue for you, you may want to consider a different location as the base locks to the counter with the suction cups and it's very difficult to slide or move on your counter. So it's more of a set it in place and leave it type of appliance. I am extremely happy with this Ninja. I might just have to buy one for my camper this summer.
Review: Works Very Well - I have been in the market for a blender for quite some time since my original Ninja broke. I had that one for about 10 years before I blew out the motor making almond butter. It owed me nothing after 10 years. One would think that it was a no-brainer to purchase another Ninja since the last one served me so well. That was not the case. In fact, I didn’t even want a Ninja, I had decided that I would invest in a Vitamix or Blendtec instead, however, fate stepped in and denied my request. On Christmas Eve, I borrowed a friend’s Ninja to help with some of my holiday cooking. I accidentally dropped the pitcher and the rim cracked. I ended up buying the entire system instead of replacing the pitcher because I wasn’t sure about the different models. It turned out that this pitcher was exactly like the damaged one so I replaced her pitcher with the new one and kept the cracked pitcher and everything else in the box. This is how I ended up with another Ninja. As for performance, I had no doubt that the Ninja Professional would perform well and it does everything I need it to do other than mill fine flour, which is why I wanted a Vitamix or Blendtec. Now, I do want to say that the Ninja can mill flour if you don’t mind having a coarse flour. This Ninja has way more features than my previous model and since we make our own baby food, I really like that I can press one button to purée and know that the texture will be perfect. Although we also own a baby bullet, we have started using the Ninja instead because it is faster. I haven’t made smoothies with this machine yet but I’m confident that there will be no problems. Overall, I definitely cannot complain about the performance and it is a great machine for the price

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the auto-iq feature worth having or should i buy a model without auto-iq**
A: depends...its kinda a two-edged sword..The auto iq limits the programming to a specific container so if you wanted to use the smoothie/extractor function, it will only work when dedicated containers are attached..for example, we had the bl492 first with 1200 watts and it did a splendid job with the individual cups on the smoothie/extract option, so we had a chance to get the more powerful 1500 bl682 model and were bitterly disappointed when we wanted to do our smoothies directly in the cups b ut when attached only offered the blend option. Did nnt do as good a job as the previous model that allowed it. so long story short, we went back to the lower model so we could have the best smoothies made oin the cups. the larger model made you use the huge blender to use the smoothie function and we couldn't see making family size smoothie batches every time...so be forewarned, the different containers may "fit" different models, b ut don't necessary allow you to use whatever function you prefer as each model is programmed differently. So I would think the non-auto-iq might allow more freedom to choose blending methods.

**Q: So the warranty on Amazon is One Year when it is a lifetime warranty when purchased through the Nutri Ninja website?**
A: 5 year warranty if bought threw ninja website, you can pay 39.95 extra for a lifetime warranty as well. I just bought this model from the ninja website and got it for 136.65 using the promo code FRIENDS20. The have it on sale for 159.99 then the promo code gives you 20% off.

**Q: What is the difference between model bl642 and bl642z?**
A: Like most other kitchen appliances these days, we pay extra for stainless steel finishes. The Ninja blenders come with two finishes: black and stainless. The model number indicates the finish; if there is a Z at the end, the finish is stainless, whereas all others are black. Both of the above referenced models (642 & 642z) come with the same accessories. The 682 model comes with the additional food processor accessory.

**Q: will it grind an orange, peel and all.cut into wedges?**
A: Yes. You might want to use Ultra Blend twice. I have ground apples and carrots but not oranges.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Smoothie Heaven
*by K***E on September 28, 2022*

First, I have never owned a blender. But I introduced my wife to smoothies (from a shop) and we were spending $20/day for us both to have one. After a week of that, I knew I had to do something! I searched the web for the one that did outstanding for blending frozen fruit and ice. I read tons of customer reviews and then settled on this model BL642 Nutri Ninja / Ninja Blender Duo with Auto IQ (note the owner's manual has BL640). We cleaned everything and started it up right away. We use the blender cups because we like different fruits, and I like to add protein powder (I am a vegetarian, plus we use these smoothies as our breakfast meal replacements). I love how you can choose the pre-programmed blends! It has never failed to make the perfect consistency (if you put the correct amount of liquid). If you see that it's not blending well, then you just need to remove (following safety precautions, like turning it off) the blender cup, add more liquid (we use either juice or almond milk) and blend again. Some recipes I use Greek yogurt and other times I use protein powder or chia seeds for that extra protein. I knew there would be trial and error for creating recipes, but so far, no errors! Everything just tastes delicious. 8 days to the shop and this pays for itself (but you can get it cheaper on Ninja's website). Plus I can choose the quantities of fruit combinations (my wife likes more banana than strawberries in hers) and use the vegan unflavored protein powder brand that I want. It's only been a week and we've used it 6/7 days. I can't wait to try more recipes!! If you love smoothies, don't hesitate on this blender duo. Yes, it's a little more than the others, but the accessories and amazing ice crushing blades make it worth it!
