In this instance though, I'm so glad I did! I live in VA where it gets blasting hot in the summer and I wanted a way to cool down my son quickly. I went back and forth about whether I should get something for his car seat or get this. I ended up choosing this since I didn't want to have to constantly re-adjust an insert that goes in the carseat. While it seems like a totally superfluous purchase, I'm really glad I got this. I got the black 8ft one-the 6ft one probably would have been sufficient for my 4 door sedan, but I wanted to make sure it was long enough without having to return it. I'm glad I got the 8ft one since I have it attached to the center passenger side vent and I have it running down the inside of the passenger seat and into the backseat. I don't think the 6ft length would be long enough to have maneuverability that the longer length has. If you have a smaller sedan, a Corolla size, it will probably work. I have a Kia Optima and went with the 8ft length. It's an easy hookup, it's literally just zip ties that you use to connect to the slats in the vent. I was expecting a little more professional looking installation, but I guess it works. I had a hard time getting it to attach to the vents so that it would stay centered on the vents with day to day driving. I ended up rigging it a little bit by cutting strips of command hook adhesive into narrow strips and adhering it to the top and bottom of the noggle/vent. It now works perfectly. If you cut the strips straight, it even looks like that's how it's supposed to be. Their recommended install could use a little work, but with the command strips, it works. Since my son on rear-facing and wasn't getting any air in my car, this was a totally worthwhile purchase since I no longer worry about him being too hot while I'm running errands. Review: Best. Invention. Ever. - This is a godsend for cars that have no rear AC vents. I hate that we had to blast the AC before getting this and our toddler would be removed from her car seat covered in sweat. I felt horrible. She's also rear facing so we'd have to rely on air circulation to help her. No longer. This thing is awesome. I love that now I don't have to worry. Must have for anyone in warm climates especially with no rear AC vents for their little ones or animals this could work for them too. It would be nice for anyone sitting in the backseat even adults. The only advice I can give is this. Make sure to remove the Noggle when not in use. This is practical as the heat can warp the vent due to the weight of the Noggle so remove it to save your vent. Also close one of the dash vents to increase air pressure to the Noggle. We have four dash vents. One on each side and two in the middle. We used the middle ones for convenience so we closed the other middle vent near the Noggle to create more flow to the Noggle. Also start the car and run the AC for a bit either before connecting the Noggle or before putting the baby in the car seat. The hot air blasts through until the AC kicks in. The Noggle actually cools off her car seat buckles and straps which is nice so they aren't hot, so we run the car till cold before putting her in the car for a couple reasons. When in doubt about length purchase the longer Noggle. I'm glad we did as it has the ability to rest out of where my toddler can reach it as well as reach her comfortably. If we bought the shorter version I believe is 6 foot it would have been taut and in the way which means she would be constantly messing with it. LOVE IT ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Product *by E***Z on May 2, 2019* Ok to let me start off by saying that this isn't the most eye pleasing device but it does get the job done. I got the black one that is 6 feet long. My son was always sweating when I took him out of his rear facing car seat not even having the AC in our 4-door sedan so I went looking for a solution since he wont be front facing for a little while longer which is how I found this product. I must say this product does a great job but it is not made for a sedan (Toyota Corolla), the reason I say this is because it's to big to fit under the seat and we have to have it over the front passenger seat which takes up all the middle counsel rest area but beside that my son loves it. He actually asked for it to be turned on as soon as we put him in his car seat. The installation was super simple and quick, our car has two narrow AC vents (in the middle) and two round vents (on each side) we tried the middle but because the narrow vents are so small, even for the rectangle piece that the Noggle comes with, the air flow wasn't great, so we moved it to the passenger side round vent (the Noggle comes with two attachments a rectangle one and a round one and also two reusable zip ties, which makes it easy to put it on and take it off) which improved the air flow but like I mentioned before it is kind of n the way but very manageable, we also realize that we have to make sure that we have it installed before we close the door because if not we can't put it on properly. This product has honestly been a life saver (not literally) and I would buy another if I need to, best $45 I have spent to help my baby be more comfortable in the car especially since we live in FL and it is hot almost all year. Thank you for this product it is truly amazing.
