Review: Best Modern Bedside Pistol Safe - If you want the best modern bedside pistol safe, this is it. It’s really expensive, but you get what you pay for. If you can afford a gun, then you can afford to secure it properly especially if you have kids. It does everything and even sends alerts to your phone when it’s opened or tampered with. It’s very sleek-looking and anyone not familiar with it just thinks it’s an alarm clock, charging station, or radio. Everything about it is customizable, and it’s extremely easy to use. Noises and alerts are customizable, and fingerprint recognition has been 100%. I did two prints of each finger; one triple-scan of each finger flat and one triple-scan of each finger tip angled down. It took me a minute to find the left and right control buttons to set up the code and fingerprints, but they’re inside the safe underneath the keypad. The only negative thing I have to say about safe is the back-up AAA battery compartment (inside the safe at the back) is a little hard to get to if you have big hands, but thankfully they last a really long time if you keep the station plugged into the wall.
