Review: The power of oxygen can't be beat - Oxi Clean really is almost a mix of science + magic. It is NOT chlorine bleach, which is actually pretty damaging to fabrics and not advised for the most part unless you're trying to disinfect something hazardous. I follow a laundry page on Youtube (JeevesNY) and he suggested this and it's been working wonders. I've been soaking everything from sheets to shirts to chair covers...it is getting everything so back to bright and clean. It can do any color without issue so grey shirts, black pants, you name it. Even if you can't see the discoloration on dark clothes there can still be lingering odors and this gets them, too. And the smell is nice. It does have some fragrance but I really like smelling that, it is a pleasant fragrance so if you're not into fragrance this may not be for you.

**Q: what's the difference between oxyclean white and the regular oxyclean?**
A: If you compare the safety data sheets for these two (search for "sds oxiclean versatile stain remover" and "sds oxiclean white revive", you can see the rough recipe for each. They're similar - both contain mostly (di)sodium carbonate, which is washing soda, along with some sodium percarbonate, which is basically washing soda with hydrogen peroxide. The SDS for white revive lists it as disodium carbonate, but from the CAS number we know it's the same thing.

The differences seem to be:
- The regular Oxiclean has more sodium percarbonate: 30-60% instead of 10-30%, which means that the White Revive probably has more regular sodium carbonate.
- The White Revive has some "Poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), .alpha.-undecyl-.omega.-hydroxy-", which is a surfactant/emulsifier.
- The White Revive has Tinopal CBS, which is an optical brightener. ("Tinopal® CBS-X is a fluorescent whitening agent which absorbs UV radiation and re-emits visible blue light, thus compensating the yellowish appearance of natural fibers.")
- White Revive has some proteolytic enzymes (protease), which break down proteins.
- regular Oxiclean has some Sodium metasilicate, which is a strong base that helps cleaning.

So: less peroxide, added brighteners, added enzymes.

**Q: How is this product different than regular oxiclean? from what i am reading, i can't figure out the difference between the 2 products?**
A: OxiClean White Revive Laundry Stain Remover powder is a laundry only product while OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover can be used outside the laundry.  OxiClean White Revive Laundry Stain Remover formula has special ingredients to boost cleaning and whitening which can only be used on laundry.

**Q: Can i rewhiten a sweater that turned light pink**
A: YES, if it's not wool. I have purchased both the Qxiclean White Revive in power form & liquid. If you decide to buy the power, add a cupful to about 1 gal of water in one of those 5 gal HD orange buckets, stir it up and allow the sweater to soak for approx 30 minutes before throwing it into your washing machine, along with the solution. Make sure to add some of those Downy smell good pills. If you decide to buy the liquid, (it smells much better than the powder) start the wash cycle, then STOP the cycle before the wash time has completed, and allow it to soak approx 30 minutes, then allow the wash cycle to finish.

**Q: Ladies and Gentlemen... is this actually safe on colors? Does it fade the color to get a brighter appearance? What are your thoughts?**

I have been using OxiClean White Revive, and it has become an absolute staple in my laundry routine. It is incredibly versatile and effective at removing tough stains without damaging the original patterns on my clothes. Here is how I use it for the best results: For stubborn stains: I love using it as a soak. I use the amount shown in the product scoop (or slightly more for deep stains) and let the items soak for 6–12 hours. After that, I run them through a normal cycle in the washing machine. It works wonders on food stains, making even dingy whites look bright and clean again. For colored items: I suggest using more water and keeping the soaking time shorter to be safe, but it works great. For daily laundry: I also add half a scoop to my regular wash. It completely eliminates that unpleasant "musty/damp" smell that sometimes lingers on clothes, leaving them smelling fresh. If you want your white sneakers or laces to look new again, try soaking them in a warm water solution with this powder. It’s been a game-changer for me (see my before/after results).
