A: Some type of plastic. It is a harder plastic, not squishy. My grandson loves them.

**Q: What the animals called?**
A: The description says: hatchet Fish, Angler Fish, Viper Fish, Glass Squid, Giant Isopod, Gulper Eel and Black Dragonfish. I checked with my deep see expert sons and they concur.

A: They sink.
