I was at a loss and trying all the chemicals, filters, and natural remedies that I could find to fix the algae overgrowth and smell in my tank. Frequent water changes, biomedia, a plecco, the works. I was about to give up and start a whole new tank but I decided to try this filter and it saved my tank in 48 hours. The water went from completely murky and green to crystal clear. The before and after pics that it shows are no joke. Here are mine. Literally taken 48 hours apart. I took my secondary sponge filter out & now only have this one. Recommend 100/10. It’s very strong though so I don’t recommend if you have fragile fish that need calm waters. I decided that mine will just need to learn to deal with the rapids because it works so well :) 45 gallon tank with 3 XL goldfish & a plecco but upgrading to a 60 gallon tank in about a month.
