They are durable, although I'm not exactly being aggressive with them. I love the top, they make grating cheese, cabbage, and carrots and potatoes very easy and quick. They come in a range of sizes, although I really only use the small and smaller medium size one. The covers are great! My wife makes potato salad and conveniently covers them with the included tops. They are good for a variety of things including prep and holding leftovers. I like the variety of colors as well. Also they don't take up a bunch of space in the cabinet
