There were some dry flakes on top, but that was a minor issue. I applied on a small portion to test before going ahead with the entire room. The process requires some patience. You may need to apply using any cloth and then spread it with a shoe polishing brush (a cheap one would do) and then buff it well with a soft cloth. It works magically. My 40+ year floor is shining almost like a new one. see pic. My 70 sq.ft. room needed less than a quarter tin. I can reuse it many more times. Don’t wipe the floor for a few days; just sweep and leave. Also, there is a strong smell at the time of application, which goes away the next day.
