**Q: How much pressure does it take to close the valve?**
A: The valve is controlled by a hollow plastic float. It's advisable to use it on the low-pressure cold water inside supply. I use an adapter (with a shutoff) on my washing machine hose. One of those and some icemaker tubing works for me.

**Q: will this work on a master cool window evap model mpc44e?**
A: It' pretty standard float valve so it should work.

**Q: Is this product made in the USA?**
A: I believe so.

**Q: Does tubing have 1/4" id or od?**
A: It's common ice-maker kit size. Quarter inch outside diameter. Use UV rated if it's used outdoors.

Had a hard time removing old one calcium deposit all over threads took awhile.. Was a Breese to install after old one was taken out and it was brittle .. 👍 Last time I installed one I'm guessing 10 years ago? I'm sure copper is better but more expensive and last longer.. Water makes the plastic brittle and breaks down water release..
