The ointment is rich and smells nice. It is on a stick so you can apply direct to the paw or put on your fingers and then rub it in. So if you have a nice dog this will be great! I, however, have a dog that struggles and finds it a fun game to pull her paw away and then wants me to chase her. If i do manage to get some on her paws, she instantly licks it off, it must taste nice.
