You wouldn't be able to put anything heavy on it. **Q: Will these work with a .5 inch thick door? Thank you.** A: Wow I think they could but there is a lot of spring action so it takes force to open and close. They could come lose if there was a lot of daily use. You could add glue to the 3/8th screw. Nah I would not do it. Unless you can use machine screws and put a washer and nut on the opposite side? **Q: i have a 2 inch thick door will this hinge work?** A: Did it work? I’m wanting these to also do something at 2” **Q: Can I use on an outside shed door weighing 100 lbs?** A: I have 4 of them opening a secret bookcase that weighs close to 80lbs. I'm thinking of adding 2 more so i can put whatever on the bookcase. ## Frequently Bought Together - 170 Degree Hinges Frameless Cabinet Door Hinges Hidden Hydraulic Adjustable Mounting Hinges Soft Closing Stainless Steel Buffer Damping Wardrobe (1 Pair) - Magnetic Push Lock Jiayi 2 Pack Push to Open Cabinet Hardware Magnetic Touch Latches for Large Door Push Release Latch Hidden Door Push Catch Press Out Latch Black - Magnetic Push to Open Cabinet Hardware CBRIVE 2 Pack Heavy Duty Push Latch & Lock for Hidden Door Touch Latches and Catch Magnet Push Release Drawer Pull Tip on RV Closet Close Strong Pop Out, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/755920225-wanlian-170-degree-soft-close-frameless-cabinet-door-hinges-1](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/755920225-wanlian-170-degree-soft-close-frameless-cabinet-door-hinges-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
