However, the 5" diameter refers to the top and you lose some of that as the walls curve in towards the bottom. The actual diameter of the bottom of the pan is about 4". That ended up being too small for me, so I ordered the 6.5" version instead. I think this 5" pan would work really well for people making eggs for an egg sandwich but not a whole lot else.
