Maybe screw it to a base? Otherwise as well built as is necessary to simply hold a hot object off the table top. I do have to say if I was to order a stand all over I would not order this one even though it worked perfect for the application I was using it for. But it is a little tippy, and small. Again it was great for traveling to a class Because it is lightweight and easy to pack,and it did everything it needed to do. But if I was to order one for my home studio I will get some thing a little sturdier. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as it should, does not fit small irons well *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on September 19, 2019* Very lightweight bordering on flimsy, but comes with a piece of double sided tape that I used to adhere the stand to the top of my soldering station and seems rigid and stable enough. It is designed to mount to a surface rather than stand alone. Cleaner mesh works very well. My only complaint is the stand opening is designed to fit irons with a wide flange at the base of the iron typical of Wellers. It should ship with a reducer bushing for irons with smaller flanges, such as the one on my Kendal station.
