The I.D. of the barrel on these connectors is approximately .22". That seems to be way too much excess size and would not result in a clean crimp. The parts themselves were stamped #8 AWG so they were not mis-packaged. Other dimensions matched the listing. The I.D. of the barrel was not shown in the product picture so I assumed it would be appropriate for #8 but that didn't seem to be the case.
