It is now the brand I continue to trust. Sometimes the oil is a bit sharper in taste than other bottles, but as they report, the sharper the taste (peppery), the more powerful it is for your health. When the climate is harsh, it causes the olives to produce more nutritious ingredients. This service alerts when a product misses the mark on quality. **Q: What is the difference between organic labeled olive oils and this with the non-gmo label?** A: I can't speak for olive oil in particular, but non-GMO does not mean not sprayed, it just means not genetically engineered in a lab. That means it could have been sprayed with glyphosate or other herbicides before harvest to "encourage ripening" and bring the harvest in all at once. Non-GMO used to mean something. And since so far there are no genetically engineered olives in the U.S., it's just a feel-good and possibly deceptive label. **Q: is it first cold pressed?** A: Yes,it is cold pressed, like all of California Ranch oils that I've bought. ## Frequently Bought Together - California Olive Ranch, 100% California Bag-in-Box Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2L (Pack of 1) - Chosen Foods 100% Pure Avocado Oil for Cooking - 1.75L - Made With Good Fats from Avocados, Naturally Refined, Never Adulterated, High Smoke Point, Non-GMO, Soy-Free, Canola Oil-Free, Gluten-Free, Keto --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/732956270-100-california-bag-in-box-extra-virgin-olive-oil-2l](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/732956270-100-california-bag-in-box-extra-virgin-olive-oil-2l) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
