The taped poles have been outside for about a week in periodic rain and have had no issues with peeling. I also thought the reflectivity was good. Using just headlamps and a bearing, we were able to catch the reflection on the pole and navigate to the waypoint. The color of the tape doesn't really show up in the reflection, it just looks bright white/yellow but as you get closer, you can see the color. Kind of like a cat eye reflection. We've had several groups run the course in the dark and we haven't lost anybody yet ;). One other note: for whatever reason, the backer material was stuck a lot more to the orange color so separating the layers was difficult, and a couple times, resulted in peeling the color off the adhesive, but we figured that out quick and it didn't cause any issues.
