Now all my friend has to do is snap the two sides together. It feels heavy duty and durable. I can only assume at this point that it will withstand the elements and not rust. I would assume it's not. But what I do know is that the quality seems great and I love having this quick release on my Herm Sprenger and would buy again. **Q: How do i know what size to order?** A: Go to the Sprenger website. prong size is determined by your dog's weight. Over 88 lbs is always 4mm. For length measure dogs neck just behind ears and add 2". You can remove prongs from the collars to make them shorter. **Q: Can i exchange for different size or do i need to return and buy another size?** A: Measuring for the one you need is not intuitive. I believe the measurement was between the prong holes. If wrong, returns are easy! **Q: How durable are these fasteners? Anyone have one fail or become difficult to close with time?** A: It falls off pretty easily, but if you’re careful every time, you can control it. If it falls off while you’re putting it on, you can just slide it back on.
