I use it pretty much every day because I’m useless at cooking, so it’s honestly saved me more times than I’d like to admit 😂It feels really solid and well made, and after 2 years I haven’t had any faults or issues with it at all. It heats food evenly, the turntable works exactly as it should and it’s noticeably quieter than some older microwaves I’ve used. The deodorisation setting is one of those features I didn’t think I’d care about, but I actually use it quite a lot. It genuinely helps after heating anything with a strong smell. The black finish still looks smart and modern in the kitchen and the ceramic interior is easy to wipe clean. The controls take a little bit of getting used to because there are quite a few functions, but once you know the buttons it’s straightforward enough. One small downside is that the door is quite dark, so you can’t see inside particularly well while it’s running, but that’s never really bothered me.Considering how often I use it, the fact it’s still working perfectly after 2 years says a lot about the quality. I’d happily buy the same one again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprisingly Good for the Price - Samsung MS23K3513AK Solo Microwave *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 October 2025* The fundamental consideration for us was budget — money is tight, and our old Panasonic microwave had packed up suddenly. It was bulky, heavy, and expensive to replace like for like. I asked AI to suggest the best option for our needs, and this one came out as the clear winner! This microwave is excellent value when you consider the following:It’s a good size (fits better in the space) and is much lighter to move than our old one.It looks very smart and is easy to clean. We’ve had no issues at all with its performance. However, after reading some of the reviews, I do agree with the comments about ease of use. The instructions aren’t very clear, and it’s odd that you can’t just input the exact cooking time. It took us a few days to work out the best way around this. Like many others, we haven’t really used the preset functions, but the 30-second reheat feature is brilliant — perfect for half a large cup of coffee! I also like that it beeps to remind you your drink (or food) is ready. We prefer the pull-handle door, and although you can’t see through the opaque black front to check if something’s melting, this doesn’t bother us.Amazon’s customer service was excellent — delivery was quick, packaging secure, and the microwave arrived in perfect condition. We didn’t get the expected five-month interest-free option because we used a gift card for part of the payment, but Amazon kindly gave us a 10% refund, which I really appreciated.Overall, this microwave is stylish, quite compact, great value, and works exactly as we need it to. When you take the price and features into account, it really does deserve 5⭐ — we’re very happy with it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks great, works well. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 14 July 2025* Pros: First of all it looks great, the design is very modern and sleek. It is a market leader brand. The interior is ceramic which is a nice touch.I like the 24hr clock on the screen and once I figured out the different settings, it has quite a few useful functions. It seems to work fine, and it rotates as it should, I only really use it for packet rice etc and defrosting, I’ve not tried defrosting yet and will post an edit when I do.It is faster than my previous model which was a 10 year old 700w Russell Hobbs, as this is 800w and that’s a noticeable difference. It’s quieter than my previous model.Cons: you can barely see through the door, which other people have mentioned too, but to be honest this doesn’t bother me too much. I can see something turning in there vaguely if I turn the kitchen lights off haha. The paper instructions provided are very basic, but if you register the device on Samsung online by scanning QR code on top then there is a much more thorough online manual. That said, the instructions are far more complicated than they need to be, I could probably work out the controls of an Airbus A320 quicker.Another thing, it gets very warm (almost hot) to the touch on the exterior sides and top when in use for over 10 mins, I did some research and apparently this can be normal with microwaves depending on the model so nothing to worry about.Only has a 1 year warranty. All in all, I like it as it does what I need it for and looks great. Also I got it for £80 which isn’t bad.EDIT: Defrost function wasn’t that good, the ‘poultry 300g’ was only a 2 minute duration and that wasn’t enough to defrost the chicken breasts. I put it on again but then it started to cook slightly on the edges, I mean maybe I need to trial and error a bit. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/729907122-samsung-ms23k3523as-eu-23l-solo-microwave-oven-triple-distribution-system](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/729907122-samsung-ms23k3523as-eu-23l-solo-microwave-oven-triple-distribution-system) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
