Reasonably priced and very durable, these units feature solid copper custom rectifiers for great durability. Oversize press fit diodes and premium bearings ensure long life even in hot or abusive conditions. Available in 150 or 240 amp configurations. Installation notes: This alternator is also available with a serpentine pulley. An alternator of this amperage may experience belt slip on a single V belt. This unit comes equipped with a smaller 1.75 inch diameter alternator pulley, and will require a slightly shorter drive belt for proper belt tension. I installed this alternator just had to drill out the small hole for a 3/8 bolt then run bolt through for a ground on the back of alternator bracket. Make sure to use heavy duty grounds and power supply like the directions show everything worked and fit well the only modification I did was drilling a 3/8 hole for the one mounting bracket hole I put it on the swivel bolt first then swung it down to drill through alternator hole into the bracket for proper alignment then slid bolt through and bolted it up. Pumps out 14 and a half volts and test it out at 280 amps. Review: Installed 2003 Hummer H2 - Installed in Hummer H2. Perfect fit, no mods needed. OEM Belt length will work temporarily.
