He is happy with it, loves the ability to fold flat and use as a tablet. Review: Good value for the money. Boots up instantly, and software updates are super-quick. Touchscreen is nice to have for zooming and panning when looking at drawings. Printing is sometimes problematic with ChromeOS. I use it mostly for office-type apps, with a little bit of coding on the side. It's perfect for what I need. I like being able to run the Linux command line and apps like VS Code, Node, Git etc. It's perfect for what I need, but I wouldn't use it as a full-time coding computer. VS Code for instance loads and runs a little on the slow side, but it's not terrible. It seems durable. Good touch screen. Love the foldability. This was an experiment, seeing if a chromebook was worth buying. This was chosen for the touch screen and low price. (I also like Acer). I'm actually quite pleased. It works well. I would say for 90% of what we do on the computer, the chromebook is enough. We have a few other computers around the house for the other 10%. I will be buying several more for use with my students.
