## Description

Experience uncompromising image quality with our Exmor T for mobile sensor on the 24mm lens, the new ultra-wide 16mm lens with minimal distortion - and get even closer to your subject using the extended 85-170mm optical telephoto lens (and telephoto-macro capable).
The new 16 mm ultra wide-angle sensor is 2.1x larger than the previous model* and the 24 mm lens features our revolutionary Exmor T for mobile sensor. Both cameras can deliver night shooting equivalent to full-frame cameras**, with low noise and wide dynamic range.
The Xperia 1 VII adds a new 16 mm ultra-wide lens to the standard 24 mm and 48 mm focal lengths. The unique Telephoto lens features true optical zoom from 85 to 170 mm. These three lenses feature ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating, which minimises unwanted lens effects such as reflections*.
AI Camerawork* helps you create pro-level stable and framed videos with Posture Estimation, and new Subject Position Lock. With new Auto Framing, the Xperia 1 VII captures the whole scene with a wide angle, plus a horizontal or vertical close-up video**.
Experience the world of macro photography with the Telephoto macro and Ultra-wide lenses. Our 120 mm telephoto lens can focus from as little as 4 cm for nearly 2x magnification. The Ultra-wide can shoot up close for a regular macro shot in dynamic and immersive ways.
For the first time, we get WALKMAN DNA to provide a higher sound quality. This smartphone also has the brightest Xperia display ever, with BRAVIA beauty to enjoy anywhere.
AI image adjustment technology works on the image quality, including colour, contrast, and texture, reproducing the image quality of the BRAVIA flagship TV model.
With a new Rear Light illuminance sensor, automatic colour adjustment function, and an increase in peak brightness*, visibility has been improved even under sunlight or in backlit conditions.
High-quality components developed for WALKMAN deliver the best Xperia sound. DSEE Ultimate uses AI upscaling for near High-Res Audio. Enjoy via wired/wireless headphones or Full-stage stereo speakers.
The large, efficient 5,000 mAh battery is designed for two days* of typical use. Battery Care and Xperia Adaptive Charging ensure it isn't overworked, giving you four years of healthy battery life**.
Do more with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform. For reliable, prolonged performance, the Xperia 1 VII features a vapour chamber cooler and graphite heat diffusion sheets for heat dissipation.
The smartphone features a texturised finish for grip and a genuine camera look/feel, reminiscent of Sony's Alpha cameras. It comes in a choice of colours: Slate Black, Moss Green, and Orchid Purple*.
More than 83.8% of the plastic parts are made from recycled materials*, including our SORPLAS recycled plastic that offers sustainability and high performance. No plastic is used in the packaging**.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Expensive. Good but expensive.
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 31 March 2026*

Oh my wife loved it. I think it has great built in speakers and great cameras (no auto AI enhancements at the camera app - pure image) other than that it had the latest chip as it is a flagship. It feels premium in hand imo, and we bought the 256gb one but they sent us a 512gb one! So that was really kind of theirs, I thank the people whomever they are. But I don't think this specific Sony phone deserves a whopping £1000+, that's all I'm saying. It's not that I don't like the phone or anything but even iPhone pro max elite diamond plus fancy thingy doesn't cost that much and they are probably better idk

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great.
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 June 2026*

Always used Sony Xperia phones this is the 4th one in 20 years and It works a Treat

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reliabity and quality.
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 December 2025*

This is an excellent phone when compared with other manufacturers phones. This replaces my old Sony phone. They make top of the range electronic products. We have two Sony TVs which provide perfect picture quality, which are totally reliable as are phones. Ok
