Featuring hand-sewn whipstitching, a compression-molded EVA midsole, and a durable leather-rubber outsole, this sandal offers a stylish yet functional choice for casual wear. Inspired by the legendary Hokule'a voyaging canoe, it carries a unique laser-etched footbed design and comes with a 1-year warranty, making it a smart investment for discerning men who value heritage, durability, and comfort. ## Description No vessel better represents the adventurous spirit than the Hklea voyaging canoe, which has circumnavigated the globe guided by celestial bodies and ocean currents. The Hklea Kia sandal pays tribute to this heritage, with each stitch in its premium full-grain leather celebrating that audacious spirit. Key Features: Premium Leather Straps: Luxurious full-grain leather with stitching reminiscent of traditional canoe sails. Custom Comfort: Compression-molded EVA midsole molds to your foot for enduring support and comfort. Inspired Design: The laser-etched footbed, drawn from the Hklea voyage, adds a distinctive and significant detail that narrates a tale of exploration and connection. ## Features - A CLASSIC LEATHER SANDAL: The Hokile'a Nia is constructed with naturally tumbled or marbled full-grain leather using hand-sewn traditional whipstitching, complete with moko tattoo artwork details on the footbed. One of our original sandals (hence, its namesake), Hiapo only gets better with age. - RICH, PREMIUM & SOFT: Beach sandals, flip-flops and slides all come together with comfort and style in the Hiapo sandal, featuring distressed full-grain leather and a soft microfiber lining for that ultra-comfy and premium fit. These shoes are made for the beach, not the ocean - prolonged contact with water may cause damage. - ALL-DAY COMFORT: Compression molded EVA midsole wrapped in full-grain leather provides anatomically correct contour for a personalized fit and sustained comfort over time. - LIGHTWEIGHT, DURABLE & STYLISH: Full-grain leather wrapped outsole with non-marking rubber traction pods for enhanced grip and flexibility. - ONE YEAR WARRANTY: As a testament to our quality construction, all OluKai footwear is backed by a guarantee against manufacturer’s defects for one full year from the date of purchase, including defects such as frayed or loose stitching and straps ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B073C2VMKY | | Best Sellers Rank | #735,482 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ( See Top 100 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ) #1,140 in Men's Sandals | | Brand Name | OluKai | | Closure Type | Slip On | | Closure type | Slip On | | Color | Dk Wood/Dk Wood | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 190 Reviews | | Fit to Size Sentiment | Neutral | | Formality Level | Casual | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00883956288520 | | Heel Type | Flat | | Inner material | Leather, Microfiber | | Insole Material | Leather | | Item Weight | 10.08 ounces | | Manufacturer Part Number | 883956288520 | | Model Name | Hokulea Kia | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | casual | | Outer Material | Leather | | Outer material | Leather | | Pattern | solid | | Sandal Type | Flip Flop | | Sole Material | Leather and Rubber | | Sole material | Leather and Rubber | | Strap Type | Thong | | Style Number | 1035563637 | | Target Audience | Men | | Toe Style | Open Toe | | UPC | 883956288520 | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | lining-description | Leather | ## Images ![OluKai Hokule'a Kia Men's Leather Sandal, Full-Grain Leather - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71peCUcuadL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/726240397-olukai-hokulea-kia-mens-leather-sandal-full-grain-leather](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/726240397-olukai-hokulea-kia-mens-leather-sandal-full-grain-leather) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
