It uses highly accurate technology and has advanced features such as one-second measurement, selectable Centigrade/ Fahrenheit readings and room temperature display. To make night time readings easier, for instance in a child’s room at night whilst they are sleeping, the Gentle Temp 720 also has a backlight function. It also features Omron’s 3-in-1 function that enables you to measure the temperature of the room as well as surface temperature. With a memory capable of recording up to 25 readings, it’s possible to track temperature changes over a period of time and monitor trends. Temperatures can be displayed on the large LCD display in either degrees centigrade or Fahrenheit. Importance of Monitoring Temperature Fever is one of the most important vital body signs. We tend to think of normal body temperature as being around 37 degrees and, while this can vary slightly, it’s fairly accurate in most cases. Maintaining this temperature at a constant level is important to ensure effective operation of the brain, vital organs and main arteries. Any significant rise in temperature usually indicates that the body’s immune system is defending itself against intruders, such as aggressive bacteria or viruses. Once the presence of a fever has been established, appropriate steps can quickly be taken to identify and eliminate the cause of the problem. Easy to Use Activates at the touch of a button, just hold the sensor 1-3 cm away from the surface you wish to measure, press the start button and you get a reading in one second. For the Whole Family Suitable to use for whole family, the Gentle Temp 720 is compact and versatile and gives a one second measurement time. In the Box: Main unit, test battery, probe lens cap, manual. Review: N/A - N/A Review: Don't bother, the product doesn't work - The product isn't accurate (consistently just says low) and doesn't work as detailed in the instructions (essentially is always on). I appreciate that this may be the individual one I purchased, but the after-sales from the 3rd party seller was terrible as well. Limited to 30 days returns only for a completely faulty product which you're unlikely to use frequently. They essentially just kicked it back to the manufacturer to sort out. You may as well buy it from the manufacturer. ## Features - 3 in 1 measurement (forehead, surface, room temperature measurement) - Fast 1 second measurement - Selectable Celsius/Fahrenheit - Backlight function - Large display ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B076H7C6DR | | Additional Features | Large Display | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Age range (description) | Adult | | Brand | Omron | | Brand Name | Omron | | Color | White | | Colour | White | | Connectivity Technology | Infrared | | Customer Reviews | 3.7 out of 5 stars 8 Reviews | | Display Type | digital | | Included Components | infrared thermometer | | Included components | infrared thermometer | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Manufacturer | Omron | | Model | Gentle Temp 720 | | Model Name | Omron Gentle Temp 720 | | Outer Material | Plastic | | Outer material | Plastic | | Part Number | Omron MC-720-E SF | | Response Time | 1000 Milliseconds | | Reusability | Reusable | | Special features | Large Display | | Specification Met | CE, FDA (potential values; not explicitly stated in the product information) | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Upper Temperature Range | 104 Degrees Fahrenheit | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** Adult - **Brand:** Omron - **Colour:** White - **Included components:** infrared thermometer - **Special features:** Large Display ## Images ![Gentle Temp 720 Contactless Infrared Thermometer - Forehead Baby Thermometer - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51tf943I2LL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ N/A *by S***V on 19 March 2025* N/A ### ⭐ Don't bother, the product doesn't work *by A***R on 13 October 2021* The product isn't accurate (consistently just says low) and doesn't work as detailed in the instructions (essentially is always on).
