This toner is gentle and not irritating on my skin, even when I have been using retinal and I don’t find it drying.I can’t say I have seen any brightening effects but my skin is smooth and it helps reduce texture and keep my skin clear. I bought it specifically to target redness- and I do think it makes a slight difference but prefer their targeted niacinamide serum overall for effectiveness (which is unsurprising from a stronger formula!).
