These suck a LOT of moisture out of the air, I change them out probably every 2 months. They only transfer the vanilla scent to the clothes directly next to the packs, but do overall give my closets a nice vanilla scent (no real detectable lavender, but no matter to me, it doesn't smell like nasty car air freshener vanilla). I tried using sprays, which just made the problem worse because it added more moisture. I tried turning up the AC to dry them out. This also made it worse. It seems that the moisture was condensing in the walls or something. I bought one of these and hung it in each closet, and by the next morning the problem was greatly improved and I was shocked by the amount of water that it had pulled out of the air and collected in the reservoir. The scent was nice and helped as well, it addresses both parts of the problem. I don’t know what I would have done without them this summer.
