It was all my roommate & I could do to get it to my second floor bedroom. The extra weight appears to be due to it's quality of construction. So, in my mind, that's a good thing! Assembly was fast & easy; it took less than 15 minutes! To assemble, all you need to do is unfold it, remove the plastic ties, screw on the 6 legs and plug in the power supply. That's it! I'm still getting used to it, but so far I like it. I'll update this review after I've used it a while. Update: The remote control is backlit and works perfectly, except it would be nice if you could turn on the backlighting without pressing a comtrol button. The work around is to press and hold the under-bed LEDs in the middle bottom row. The app, on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. The setup instructions weren't totally clear and the setup process is more involved than it should be. Some bed features in the app do not work; hopefully that will be fixed in a future update...Overall all, though, I'm still mostly happy with it.
